…or the Children’s Version of the classic Supernova: )

Came across this sweet little machine online recently & decided it would go really well alongside my Supernova Ultra. This one:

The infanzia landed here yesterday after a 4,000 mile journey from WI. in perfect order. Packed by a conscientious expert happily: ) The machine & its case are close to immaculate & it looks unused & well cared for. Heavier than I expected & smaller. It doesn’t need any clamp to steady this machine in use. It’s rubber feet & weight make it stable on any smooth surface. It’s an all metal machine, apart from the hand-wheel knob! I’m very impressed by the quality & feel of it. More than a toy in my opinion: )

I found it difficult to imagine its actual size seeing it online with nothing to compare it to! Was smaller & neater than I expected on arrival. In the most pleasing way to my eye.

Weighs a little over 4.5lbs. There’s a lot more plastic in the big one!

Aunt Julia came around to see her new niece? The Julia is a lovely machine, but the squared off nose spoils the classic, rounded-off nose of the earlier Supernovas for me. (The oil painting in the background, for the benefit of American art collectors/fans/readers, is a Randall Davey being re-framed: )

This slight diversion from topic is to answer DJ’s question.
This is the actual frame while being fitted. It’s 40″x30″, quite large: ) I suspect it is a fake, but that’s another story. It makes a great focal point in my living room IMO. My photos do not do it justice here: ) Randall Davey for me is under reguarded, but gradually being recognised in Europe.
